Licensing Considerations in New South Wales (NSW)

In NSW, engaging in residential building work valued over $5,000 requires an appropriate contractor license. While the RII31220 Certificate III in Civil Foundations equips individuals with essential skills for civil construction, obtaining a contractor license necessitates additional qualifications and experience. Specifically, for general building work, applicants must demonstrate at least two years of relevant industry experience and possess recognized qualifications, such as the CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or the CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

It's important to note that the RII31220 Certificate III in Civil Foundations is distinct from demolition courses and focuses on civil construction foundations. Individuals aiming to specialize in demolition should pursue specific qualifications aligned with that field.
