Two units, one clear course path

    1. 1

      CPCCWHS2001

Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

Start with the WHS learning and assessment, including performance on three different occasions. If you already hold this unit, upload your achievement evidence for Matthew to verify. Formal demolition assessment opens after he confirms your prerequisite.

    2. 2

      CPCCDE3030

Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies

Identify hazards and apply risk controls on two separate assessment occasions: the industrial project at 27 Frank Street and the fictional Banksia House residential project. Use the supplied documents and provide the required evidence of your own actions.

Learn it. Apply it. Show your work.

    Study at your pace

Read or listen to the learner guide in manageable sections. Revisit a diagram or explanation whenever you need it.

    Establish your site

Select an item, then draw or place it to build your site plan. Prepare separate layouts for Frank Street and Banksia House using each project’s documents.

    Upload performance evidence

Provide your own documents, photographs and video where the assessment asks you to demonstrate work. Follow the task instructions and identify your contribution.

    Receive assessor feedback

Submit your completed work to Matthew Hardy. Review his findings, address any required improvements and resubmit the items he returns to you.

    Before you enrol

For experienced domestic learners aged 18 or over, living in Australia. Complete CPCCWHS2001 first, or provide evidence of an existing achievement for verification. Matthew Hardy must confirm this prerequisite before you begin formal CPCCDE3030 assessment.

You need a computer or tablet, an internet connection and a way to upload documents, photographs and video. The WHS assessment requires you to demonstrate work on three different occasions. For demolition, complete separate Frank Street and Banksia House activities and provide evidence of the risk controls you personally apply. You must also hold an actual discussion with at least two other people. Practical actions require a safe workplace or suitable simulation. Contact Matthew before enrolling if you need help arranging safe access, equipment or participants.

Online study includes practical performance. Only carry out activities you are authorised and equipped to perform safely. The course does not authorise you to carry out hazardous work.

For the demolition discussion task, hold an actual discussion with at least two other people, in person or online. Record the participants, meeting details and at least two improvements to your risk management strategies. Matthew can help arrange participants. A separate oral examination is not required.

A white card alone does not establish achievement of CPCCWHS2001. Ask Matthew how to provide your Statement of Attainment or USI transcript. Never share USI login details.

The course uses NSW examples and requirements. Tell Matthew about any access, literacy, language or other learning support you need so arrangements can be discussed before payment.

    Your outcome

After the required assessment and verification checks are complete, successful unit outcomes are recorded on a Statement of Attainment. Matthew Hardy makes the competency decisions. Completing the course does not issue a demolition licence.

Each unit has its own outcome. If you already hold CPCCWHS2001 and Matthew verifies it, that prerequisite is recorded as credit transfer, rather than newly completed training and assessment.
