Project specification

BP-SP01Revision R0116 October 2026Project BP-01

Fictional training document. Use the edition assigned by your assessor. Read the stated information for this exercise. It is not an engineering approval, construction instruction for a real site, or evidence that work has occurred.

§1 — Scope and construction type

PW01 is a proposed plain concrete pedestrian path on granular base within the BP-01 fictional site. Read its dimensions and coordinates from BP-A101/BP-S201. It joins exercise aprons EA1/EA2 only. No vehicles, building alteration, public-road work, demolition or service relocation are included.

The project documents stipulate the model for reading. Actual design, ground conditions, loading, drainage, accessibility and construction method require competent technical review before real work. The C1 demolition specification SP01 and its 10 mm repair criterion do not apply to BP-01.

§2 — Material and detail schedule

TagFictional project requirementSource relationship
CON-01Ready-mixed plain concrete, designated C25 in this exercise: nominal 25 MPa at 28 days. Nominal layer thickness 100 mm. No reinforcement is stipulated.BP-S202 D1
GBA-01Granular crushed-rock base, nominal 100 mm after compaction. Ground suitability, grading and compaction method/acceptance require technical review.BP-S202 D1
IJ-0110 mm compressible isolation strip at both existing-apron interfaces.BP-S201 / BP-S202
CJContraction joints at Ch2000, Ch4000, Ch6000; nominal groove/cut depth 25 mm. Method/product/suitability requires technical review.BP-S201 / BP-S202 D1

§3 — Workmanship and finish

For the proposed work, joints are to follow the nominated layout, exposed edges are to be free of sharp projections, and the surface is to have a consistent broom finish running east–west, perpendicular to the north–south walking direction. Keep the stated fall and protect the completed surface from damage. No coating or colour treatment is specified.

§4 — Stipulated project acceptance limits and records

ItemFictional project criterionRequired inspection record
Path width1500 mm nominal, permitted deviation ±10 mm.Record measured width and location against the drawing requirement.
Apron transitionNo abrupt level difference greater than 3 mm at the EA1 or EA2 interface.Record maximum measured difference/location and photograph the interface.
Edge straightnessNo deviation greater than 5 mm under a 2000 mm straightedge along an edge.Record edge/location, straightedge length and maximum deviation.

These are invented BP-01 project criteria, not quotations from an Australian Standard, a regulatory accessibility limit or proof of design adequacy. A drawing states a requirement; only later inspection evidence can establish what was constructed. The CPCCOM2001 task is to identify and explain the stipulated requirements, not construct or certify this path.

§5 — Environmental and information controls

Apply BP-ENV101's locations and instructions. Use BP-IR01 for issue control. If documents conflict, record both references and ask the training supervisor through BP-WI01. Do not resolve a conflict by choosing the easier construction option or measuring an unscaled illustration.
