Make an enquiryWhat SafeWork SA says
- SafeWork SA states that the person undertaking the demolition work must hold a South Australian contractor’s licence issued by Consumer and Business Services.
- SafeWork SA must be notified of specified work, including demolition of a load-bearing structure at least six metres high, load shifting machinery on a suspended floor, and explosives.
- Mechanical demolition notifications need a demolition work plan with structural engineer’s approval and a safe work method statement.
- SafeWork SA refers duty holders to its Demolition Work Code of Practice.
