Demolition supervisor training in Australia
OnShift Education (RTO 41304) delivers nationally recognised demolition units for experienced workers. Each state and territory regulates demolition work differently, so the rules that apply to you depend on where the work happens. Choose your region below for a summary of what the regulator publishes.
By state and territory
| Region | Regulator | What the regulator publishes |
|---|---|---|
| New South Wales | SafeWork NSW | Restricted and unrestricted licences; unrestricted applicants need a named supervisor with specified units and evidence of experience. |
| Queensland | WorkSafe Queensland | A single demolition work licence held by the business (PCBU), valid for two years. |
| Western Australia | WorkSafe WA | Class 1 and Class 2 demolition licences, valid for three years; applicants must engage a nominated supervisor. |
| South Australia | SafeWork SA | Contractor’s licence from Consumer and Business Services, plus notification to SafeWork SA for specified demolition work. |
| Northern Territory | NT WorkSafe | NT WorkSafe’s form states demolition licences are not required in the NT; specified demolition work must be notified. |

Training does not issue a licence, registration or approval. The regulator decides every application and requirements can change, so confirm the current position with the regulator before relying on any training outcome.
