Make an enquiryWhat WorkSafe WA says
- WorkSafe WA describes two demolition licence types, Class 1 and Class 2, each valid for three years.
- Class 1 covers, among other work, structures 10 metres or more in height, work affecting structural integrity, explosives and specified crane use. Class 2 covers structures under 10 metres, excluding single storey dwellings and the specified Class 1 work types.
- A licence is required for a structure 2 metres or higher that is not a single storey dwelling, or a fence or wall 1.8 metres or higher.
- Licence applicants must engage a nominated supervisor, who must meet the experience and training requirements. An individual applicant may be their own nominated supervisor.
- The WorkSafe Commissioner must be notified at least 5 working days before Class 1 or Class 2 demolition work begins.

Important
Training does not issue a licence, registration or approval. The regulator decides every application and requirements can change, so confirm the current position with the regulator before relying on any training outcome.
